FluxPanel™  A concise set of standardized prefabricated building panels for smart home construction, integrated with quick connection features, IoT interfaces, and high efficiency continuous insulation which exceeds current performance standards.

Universality

FluxPanel™ is invented as a universal structure, allowing for a new system of custom construction utilizing large basic components (wall-size panels) which perform structural, mechanical and decorative functions. The panels are designed to incorporate, as an integral part, all of the advanced technological developments in electrical and mechanical engineering, high performance sustainable building materials, as well as smart city and smart home technologies.

The structural panels are locked together vertically and horizontally by means of self-contained locking devices. All edges of the panels can perform as structurally effective weathertight construction joinder when the panels are locked into position. They also provide electrical conduits, pre-wired conduits for fiber optical network terminal, IoT interfaces, as well as tracks for exterior, interior and cabinet sliding doors, frameless windows and partitions. A uniform space in the core of the panel provides a ducting system for central heat and air-conditioning throughout the entire structure.

Simplicity

The essence of FluxSystem™ is the universal FluxPanel™, containing multi-functions of structure, enclosure and service. Accordingly, all sub-components with a single function are to be eliminated. Elements like windows and doors present where wall is absent. Their frames are likewise replaced by a structural panel edge for that purpose, thus avoiding redundant manufacture and wasting materials. The number of components is reduced by using finished structural panel faces, thus no need for such nonstructural surfacing materials as floor tiles, ceiling tiles, plaster, paint and mouldings.

As a result, buildings can be fabricated with a minimum number of components, a simple method of fabrication and construction and simple tooling requirements, allowing for greater adaptability to automation. Its concise design composes spatial beauty and affordable luxury.

Flexibility

The prefabricated wall panels, fitted with heat, light, cooling, ventilation and decoration, can be moved from place to place so that the pattern of rooms within the house can be changed at will. All non-structural panels are movable without any addition of components, since sliding panel tracks are at every floor panel joint for structural necessity. Rooms can be therefore enlarged by opening dividing non-structural walls.

Climate control can be managed by using various materials for exterior sliding panels. For example, transparent low-insulative material during mild climate, opaque, high-insulative during severe heat or cold, or any combinations of the tow. The number and area of transparent and opaque panels can be varied by the simple sliding operations.

Sustainability in Circular Economy

The structural panels are continuously insulated and highly energy efficient. The thickness of the continuous insulation can be customized to meet building codes and thermal performance requirement in all climate zones. It utilizes the most advanced composite building materials by taking advantages of their high strength-to-weight ratio, great design flexibility, insulating properties and recyclability, which take into account all the environmental, economic and social impacts in prefabricated building design.

According to research firm Z_punkt’s lifecycle analysis to evaluate the sustainability balance value of the chosen insulation materials, the assessment results are unequivocal: less energy loss, lower water consumption, fewer GHG emissions, reduced air pollution, less waste generation, and reduced heating costs.
