In recognition of Detroit as a city of global economic assets including industrial infrastructure, and as home to a civic network of committed leaders, Fluxus LLC has been planning to contribute to its sustainable growth through establishing innovation, R&D, and production center for the advanced manufacturing of Fluxus prefabricated building system, to not only address local affordable housing strategy, but also help foster local employment, further attract talents, and create export model for the region.

Eric Larson has been contributing to the revitalization of Downtown Detroit through his role of CEO at Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP), a private/public partnership of business, philanthropic and government partners joining forces to create a vibrant and resilient urban core and rapidly growing central business district for Detroit and the region. “We really have tried to use the downtown as a case study,” Larson said in a recently interview. “If it works downtown, we really try and make sure it’s replicable in other areas. Not only in other areas of the city, but a lot of the public space activation and place-making activities that we’ve been doing now for over 20 years are being done all over the country and have become sort of the buzz approaches for continuing to turn around urban centers.”

“Detroit is in the midst of an economic development transformation and Eric Larson has been on the leading edge of much of that work,” said fellow Detroiter and Fluxus LLC’s Advisory Board member Angela Topacio. “Eric has an innovative spirit and tireless drive to build community. His expertise and passion will serve FLUXUS well.”
Mr. Larson will work closely with the Fluxus team to generate new real estate development deals and help facilitate new business relations with strategic partners and investors, as well as set up manufacturing facilities and supply chain for the Fluxus building system in the United States to realize a vertically integrated business model of prefabrication with Industry 4.0 applications.
With a strong network in the world of real estate development, construction and finance, Eric Larson founded Larson Realty Group in 1999, that continues to bring an entrepreneurial approach to its activities. Mr. Larson has over 30 years of experience in real estate and prior to establishing his own company, served as top executive in several global real estate companies including Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock Real Estate Services, Michael and Marian Ilitch’s Olympia Development of Michigan, Hines, Bruce S. Brickman and Associates. During Mr. Larson’s career he has developed, financed, owned and managed over $3 billion of real estate.
In addition to his successful career, Eric Larson continues his father Mr. Rober C. Larson’s legacy and lifetime dedication to philanthropy.

Among many of Eric Larson’s philanthropic endeavors, he serves as Chairman of the Robert C. Larson Leadership Initiative and Urban Land Institute (ULI) Detroit Governance Committee, where an annual award “Robert C. Larson Workforce Housing Public Policy Awards” is founded to recognize innovative public policies and practices for the development of affordable and workforce housing. Eric Larson also established and serves as Executive Director at Community Investment Support Fund (CISF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to a mission of “promoting economic development and facilitating investment of capital to support community revitalization, the nonprofit sector and in underserved markets.”
